David Selley - TLM Hero

David Selley was an ardent supporter of the work of The Leprosy Mission and in particular The Leprosy Mission Shop. TLM's trading operation started in a room at the TLM Great Britain head office selling Christmas cards and in 1995 the trading company was formed.

David was instrumental in setting up the trading company and was an active member of the TLM Trading Board for 20 years and Chair for 12 years. Thanks to his vision and leadership, The Leprosy Mission Shop grew to be the major contributor of funds to the Global Fellowship that it is today.

David always had a close eye for detail but he was also often the person who would bring the Board back to our purpose. In the words of the current Chair of The Leprosy Mission Shop, Stuart Green, "Time and time again he would gently remind us that our purpose was to support people affected by leprosy, and it is this legacy that lives on. "
