Gordon Brown - Treasurer

Gordon is a retired Chartered Accountant who spent his working career at IBM where he held various financial and general management positions, latterly as Director of Business Operations for UK, Ireland, Netherlands & South Africa.

Since retiring in 2005, he has held various non-executive positions including Chairs of Scottish Enterprise Renfrewshire, Scripture Union Scotland and is currently the Chair of The Abernethy Trust. He has also served on the Boards of various businesses and charities, including Interserve GB & Ireland.

His involvement in TLM began as Vice Chair of TLM Scotland (2008-2011) and as Treasurer of TLM International (2011-2015) where he elected not to seek a second term in order to care for his late wife.

Gordon remarried in 2022 to Maureen and they live in the Highlands of Scotland. They are both active members of Abernethy Parish Church.

Gordon adores his 8 grandchildren and is an avid fan of progressive rock, blues and indie music, loves walking and motorsport, and plays golf (badly).
